"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you did not do than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour, catch the tradewinds in your sails.
Explore,.....Dream,.......Discover."

Canada Day

Many years ago, my aunt Flo, who is no longer with us gave us a large flag "for the boat", so yesterday I hoisted it first thing in the morning. There are  6 boats out of the approximately 60 here in the harbour that are Canadian, so we celebrated along with them having a BBQ on the beach. Along with a Texan, who was born in Ontario and John on Jacasso who was our token American, we had a great time.
Just off this beach is the site known as the Pinzon Anchorage which was the place where Martin Pinzon anchored to trade with natives after sneaking away with one of Columbus' ships. It is now used as a favourite swimming area.
Five provinces, Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, and Quebec were represented at the party.
The cutest Canadian award went to the girls from s/v Necesse, who are from Calgary and have always lived on a boat. They sure made us miss our grandkids.

Proud to be Canadian.
