"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you did not do than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour, catch the tradewinds in your sails.
Explore,.....Dream,.......Discover."

Independence Day

Today, July 5th we had a fiesta in honour of Canada, USA, the DR and all the Caribbean countries and called it Independence Day. We all brought a favourite dish share with other party goers. The main street was blocked so we could set up a volleyball net. We had a very competitive game to work up an appetite.
It seemed like the whole town turned out including the local dogs. Most of the favourites are now sporting new collars as a way to protect them, without they are considered a stray. They must always be wary of the never-ending motorcycle and car traffic that travels usually way too fast for this little road.

When the dinner bell finally rang, more than 100 men, women and children were served. The dogs feasted on the scraps and bones from the BBQ.

We have our speakers inside the car, with the thumping music way too loud.
Imagine how loud this was. Approximately 1000 watts, but the whole block hears it.
Worth more than the car itself..........  The Dominican way.!!!
